GlobeToTravel.com Payment Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 10 September 2024

At GlobeToTravel.com, we offer a seamless and secure way to book travel services, such as accommodation, flights, and experiences, using both traditional and cryptocurrency payment methods. By using our services and completing a booking on our website, you agree to the following Payment Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, especially if you are paying via cryptocurrency, as additional risks and responsibilities apply.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cryptocurrency: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other supported digital currencies.
  • Traditional Methods: Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), bank transfers, and other local payment options.
2. Cryptocurrency Payments

When making a payment with cryptocurrency, the following conditions apply:

  • Exchange Rates: All cryptocurrency transactions are subject to the exchange rate at the time of payment. This rate is determined by the current market conditions and may fluctuate significantly. The amount charged will be based on the equivalent price in Euros (EUR) or your selected currency at the time of booking.
  • Transaction Finality: Once a cryptocurrency payment has been made and confirmed on the blockchain, it is irreversible. GlobeToTravel does not have the ability to cancel, modify, or refund any transactions completed using cryptocurrency. Therefore, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your payment details, including the wallet address and the cryptocurrency amount before submitting the transaction.
  • Processing Time: Depending on the cryptocurrency network, payments may take time to confirm. GlobeToTravel will only process and confirm bookings once the transaction has been fully validated on the blockchain.
  • Transaction Fees: Cryptocurrency payments may incur network transaction fees (gas fees) depending on the blockchain used. These fees are not controlled by GlobeToTravel and are the responsibility of the user. You must ensure that any transaction fees are covered to avoid incomplete payments.
  • Payment Confirmation: Upon receiving the full payment in cryptocurrency, you will receive a confirmation email containing your booking details and a digital voucher. If the payment is not confirmed within a reasonable time frame, your booking may be cancelled.
3. Risks of Cryptocurrency Payments

While cryptocurrency offers a decentralized, secure, and global payment method, it also comes with certain risks:

  • Volatility: Cryptocurrency values can fluctuate significantly over short periods. This means that the value of your crypto payment may vary between the time you initiate and complete the transaction. GlobeToTravel does not offer any compensation for fluctuations in cryptocurrency value.
  • Irreversibility: Cryptocurrency payments are irreversible. Once you send your cryptocurrency, you cannot recover it unless GlobeToTravel chooses to issue a refund in fiat currency (Euro) under special circumstances. Be sure to double-check your wallet address and payment details before completing any transaction.
  • Security: While cryptocurrency transactions are secure, GlobeToTravel is not responsible for any lost or stolen private keys, passwords, or wallet information. You are solely responsible for securing your cryptocurrency wallet.
4. Refund Policy

Refunds for cryptocurrency payments are handled as follows:

  • Refunds in Fiat Currency: Any eligible refunds will be issued in Euros (EUR), not in cryptocurrency. The refunded amount will be based on the Euro value of the original payment at the time of the transaction, regardless of changes in cryptocurrency value.
  • Refund Eligibility: Refunds are only available in certain circumstances, such as the cancellation of a booking by GlobeToTravel or the service provider. If you qualify for a refund, it will be processed through traditional payment methods, not in cryptocurrency.
  • Transaction Fees on Refunds: Refunds processed through fiat currencies may still be subject to transaction fees associated with traditional payment methods, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
5. Payment Security

We take your payment security seriously and use industry-standard encryption and fraud prevention measures to protect your transactions. Here are our security commitments:

  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption: All payments made on GlobeToTravel.com are processed via secure, encrypted connections using SSL technology to protect sensitive information.
  • Blockchain Security: Cryptocurrency transactions are secured by the respective blockchain network’s cryptographic technology. However, GlobeToTravel does not have control over the security of individual users’ wallets or the blockchain network itself.
  • User Responsibility: You are responsible for securing your wallet credentials, including private keys and passwords. GlobeToTravel is not liable for any loss of funds resulting from a security breach on your end.
6. Payment Disputes

For any disputes regarding payments, including those made with cryptocurrency, the following applies:

  • Cryptocurrency Payments: Due to the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions, payment disputes related to cryptocurrency transactions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. GlobeToTravel will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues, but refunds are not guaranteed for disputes related to cryptocurrency.
  • Traditional Payments: For payments made via credit card or bank transfer, we follow standard dispute resolution processes in compliance with banking regulations.

If you believe there has been an error in your payment or you wish to dispute a transaction, please contact our customer support team at [email protected] as soon as possible.

7. Taxes and Fees

Any applicable taxes, including VAT, and fees will be clearly displayed before you complete your booking. It is your responsibility to review all charges before confirming your payment.

For cryptocurrency payments, any transaction fees (such as network or gas fees) must be covered by the user at the time of the transaction. GlobeToTravel is not responsible for covering these fees, and insufficient payments may result in failed bookings.

8. Changes to Payment Terms

GlobeToTravel reserves the right to update or modify these Payment Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and by continuing to use our services, you agree to the updated terms. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or within your user account.
